Featuring two independently operated black rockers, this decorative switch provides convenient control of two lights or lighting zones. Its polished Black Chrome plate, concealed fixings and slim screwless profile make it an attractive choice for contemporary kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, hotels and premium commercial interiors.

Two Independent Lighting Controls

The PCDBC42B-01 contains two separate rocker switches, allowing two lighting circuits to be operated from one wall position.

It can be used for combinations such as:

• Main ceiling lights and wall lights
• Kitchen lighting and under-cabinet lighting
• Living-room lighting and decorative lamps
• Pendant lights and recessed downlights
• Bedroom lighting and suitable exterior lighting
• Two lighting zones within an open-plan space

Each rocker operates independently, so one circuit can remain on while the other is switched off.

2-Way Switching on Both Rockers

Both mechanisms provide 2-way switching. Each connected light can therefore be controlled from two locations when paired with another compatible 2-way switch.

This makes the PCDBC42B-01 suitable for hallways, staircases, bedrooms with doorway and bedside controls, rooms with two entrances and larger open-plan spaces. It can also be wired for standard one-position control where a second switch location is not required.

20A 16AX Electrical Rating

The switch is rated at 20A and 16AX, with BG listing an operating voltage of 220–240V. The official technical specification gives a nominal rating of 250V AC and confirms that the switch is designed for suitable inductive lighting loads.

The PCDBC42B-01 is a mechanical on-and-off rocker switch. It does not provide dimming, timers, motion detection or smart-home control.
