Description
The BG CUTS5-01 16A 24-hour analogue timer provides simple automatic daily control for suitable electrical circuits installed within a compatible BG consumer unit or enclosure. Its mechanical clock dial allows connected equipment to switch on and off automatically at selected times, making it a practical alternative to digital programming where straightforward, repeatable daily operation is required.
The timer is programmed by pressing the blue switching segments around the easy-to-read 24-hour dial. It provides 48 individual segments, with each segment representing a 30-minute period. Multiple operating periods can therefore be set throughout the day for suitable lighting, heating controls, ventilation, signage, pumps or other compatible electrical loads, subject to the circuit design and switching capacity.
A manual switching facility provides continuous ON, continuous OFF and automatic timed operation. This allows the programmed schedule to be overridden when equipment must remain permanently switched on or off without changing the individual timer segments. Fine time adjustment and a simple summer or winter time-correction feature also help maintain accurate operation when the clocks change.
The CUTS5-01 has a 16A resistive switching capacity and supports inductive loads up to 4A. Its internal power reserve can maintain the timer for approximately seven days during a mains interruption, while the current technical data lists an operating accuracy of approximately ±2 seconds per day.
Designed for DIN-rail installation, the analogue timer occupies two modules and is suitable for compatible BG consumer units and electrical enclosures. It operates at 230V, has an IP20 rating for protected indoor installation and is designed for operating temperatures from -10°C to +50°C.
