FAQ's

What is the Aurora Enlite FD1CP?

The Aurora Enlite FD1CP is a contractor pack of 10 x 6W fixed fire rated LED downlights. Each downlight delivers up to 600 lumens and features selectable 3000K, 4000K and 6500K colour temperatures, Triac dimming and an IP65 rating from below.

How many downlights are included in the Aurora FD1CP pack?

The FD1CP contains 10 LED downlights. This makes it a convenient choice for electricians, contractors, renovations and projects requiring multiple matching downlights throughout a property.

Is the Aurora FD1CP fire rated for 30, 60 and 90 minutes?

The FD1CP has been tested for 30, 60 and 90 minutes with solid timber joists. Aurora also specifies 30 and 90-minute testing with I-joists and 30-minute testing with metal web joists. Suitability should always be checked against the ceiling construction and Aurora installation instructions.

Can I change the colour temperature of the Aurora FD1CP?

Yes. The FD1CP is a 3CCT colour selectable downlight, allowing you to choose between 3000K Warm White, 4000K Cool White and 6500K Daylight. This gives installers greater flexibility without needing to stock separate colour-temperature versions.

Is 3000K or 4000K better for a kitchen?

Both can work well. 3000K creates a warmer, softer appearance, while 4000K produces a cleaner, more neutral white light that is particularly popular for kitchens and task-focused areas. The FD1CP lets you choose the preferred setting during installation.

Can Aurora FD1CP downlights be used in bathrooms?

The front of the Aurora FD1CP is IP65 rated from below, providing protection against dust and water jets. This makes it suitable for appropriate bathroom applications, subject to the required bathroom electrical zones, current wiring regulations and correct installation.
