Create discreet exterior, bathroom and architectural marker lighting with the Astro Terra Round 28 LED 1201005. Finished in Brushed Stainless Steel, this compact recessed LED fitting can be installed in the ground, wall or ceiling to provide focused warm-white illumination without the visual bulk of a conventional surface-mounted light.
The Terra Round 28 is suitable for subtle lighting around pathways, steps, decking, exterior walls, bathroom areas and architectural features. Its small 28mm circular face helps the fitting blend neatly into the surrounding surface, making it ideal for modern residential, hospitality and commercial lighting projects.
Astro specifically advises that the Terra Round 28 should not be driven over, so it must not be installed where cars or other vehicles may pass across the fitting.
Brushed Stainless Steel Recessed Light
Product code 1201005 is supplied in a Brushed Stainless Steel finish. The metallic surface works particularly well with modern exterior materials, bathroom fittings, stone paving, timber decking, tiled walls and contemporary architectural finishes.

When several fittings are installed at regular intervals, the medium-width beam can help create a coordinated line of light along pathways, steps, corridors or surrounding walls.
IP65 Exterior and Bathroom Protection
The Astro 1201005 has an IP65 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets.
Astro specifies the fitting as suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 when correctly installed with suitable low-voltage control gear. It can also be used in appropriate exterior applications, subject to correct drainage, installation and cable protection.
Although IP65 provides strong water resistance, the fitting is not intended for permanent submersion. The installation must follow Astro’s instructions and applicable electrical regulations.

Requires a 350mA Constant-Current Driver
The Terra Round 28 is a Class III low-voltage fitting and requires a compatible 350mA constant-current LED driver.
The driver must be selected according to the number of Terra fittings being installed, their electrical characteristics and the required control method. The light must not be connected directly to a standard 230V mains supply without the correct driver.

Dimmable with Compatible Control Gear
The Astro Terra Round 28 can be dimmed, but dimming depends on the selected driver and lighting-control system.
A compatible dimmable 350mA constant-current driver is required. This allows the light level to be reduced for subtle evening illumination or increased where clearer pathway and orientation lighting is needed.
Suitable for Multiple-Fitting Installations
Multiple Terra Round 28 lights can potentially be connected to one suitable constant-current driver. The maximum number depends on the voltage range, output and wiring requirements of the selected driver.

Important Coastal Limitation
Astro states that the Terra Round 28 is not suitable for installation within five miles, approximately eight kilometres, of the coast.
For coastal properties or other highly corrosive environments, a product specifically identified by Astro as coastal suitable should be selected instead.
Not Suitable for Vehicle Traffic
The Terra Round 28 is a decorative recessed ground and marker light, but Astro recommends against driving over it.
It should not be installed in driveways, parking areas, vehicle access routes or other locations where it may be exposed to vehicle weight.
