The high ingress-protection rating makes the Tango suitable for bathroom walls, shower-area marker lighting and other moisture-prone locations where a lower-rated fitting may not be appropriate. It is not designed for permanent immersion.

The Tango LED is designed for recessed wall mounting, leaving only the compact square faceplate visible after installation.

The driver must be selected separately according to the number of Tango fittings, combined forward voltage and required dimming method. Astro states a forward voltage of approximately 3.1V per fitting. The marker light must not be connected directly to a standard 230V mains supply.

Dimmable with Compatible Control Gear

The Tango LED can be dimmed when connected to compatible dimmable control gear.

A suitable 350mA constant-current driver and compatible control system are required. This allows the marker lights to provide brighter orientation lighting when needed or a more subtle glow during the evening and overnight.

Suitable for Multiple-Light Installations

Several Tango marker lights can potentially be connected to one compatible constant-current driver. The number supported will depend on the driver’s voltage range, total connected load and Astro’s wiring requirements.

The product-specific datasheet also states that the Tango is not suitable for installation within five miles, approximately eight kilometres, of the coast. A fitting specifically approved for coastal conditions should be selected for those environments.
